Install in Minutes

This install is designed to be simple and secure. You’ll clamp the system to the headrest bars, connect the center arm, position it so the bow sits straight, then tighten everything down.

You can tighten the screws by hand, or use a 5/32 Allen wrench if you prefer.
Important: Do not over-tighten screws. Snug and secure is all that’s needed.

Step 1 — Get the headrest bars ready

  • Make sure the two metal headrest bars are accessible.
  • If needed, raise the headrest slightly so you have room to work.
  • Loosen the clamp screws so the clamps can twist and lock on easily.

Tip: You do not need to remove the headrest.

Step 2 — Attach the ANKR-POINT™ Cradle to headrest bar

  • Twist and lock the ANKR-POINT™ Bow Grip onto the headrest bar.

Step 3 — Attach the ANKR-POINT™ Support Arm

  • Twist and lock the second headrest attachment (Support Arm) onto the other headrest bar.
  • Leave it loose so that it can still move for adjustment.

Step 4 — Connect the sliding support arm to the ANKR-POINT Cradle.

  • Remove the security screw from the ANKR-POINT™ Cradle so you can attach the ANKR-POINT™ Support Arm into the ANKR-POINT™ Cradle.
  • Loosen the adjustment screw, and move the adjustable support arm outward until it lines up with the ANKR-POINT™ Bow Grip where you want to attach them together.
  • Seat the arm fully so the system forms one solid bridge between the two attachments.
  • Re-install the security screw into the ANKR-POINT™ Bow Grip to ensure it remains in place. Do not over-tighten.

The goal is one solid connection from support arm to the Cradle.

Step 5 — Position the system

  • Move the system left or right until the bow will sit straight behind your seat.
  • Make sure there is clearance from the seat and trim.
  • Make sure the mounted system and bow do not interfere with airbags, passengers, child seats, seat adjustment, or safe vehicle operation.

Step 6 — Tighten everything down

  • Hand-tighten the clamp screws on both headrest bars.
  • Hand-tighten the main adjustment screw.
  • Hand-tighten or use a 5/32 Allen wrench.

Important:
Do not over-tighten. Excessive force is unnecessary.

Step 7 — Store your bow

  • Place your bow into the ANKR-POINT™ Bow Retention System.
  • Remember that your bow installs upside down, in the hand grip.
  • Ensure it is fully seated.
  • Optional pads for the locking arm are included, if needed for various bow sizes. Example: youth bows may require a larger pad to securely hold the bow in place. Most bows fit best with the medium pad for the locking arm, which comes pre-installed.
  • Before driving, confirm the bow is secure and positioned so it does not create a hazard to any occupant.
  • Remove the bow when not in use, and consider removing the mounted unit as well to reduce potential impact hazards inside the vehicle.
